Jamey Lost 25.5 Pounds in 20 Weeks
I had tried other programs like weight watchers in the past that worked well for me in the short-term, but then I would end up gaining all the weight back fairly quickly as soon as I stopped counting points. It wasn't really teaching me how to eat properly, it was just emphasizing portion sizes of still not-so-healthy foods. I really wanted to learn how to prepare nutritious and satisfying meals so I could make a lifestyle change and not really feel like I'm on a "diet", just eat better all the time!
I did a lot of research online initially looking into getting a personal trainer (that's how I came across Marcus), but then read that he also did nutritional coaching and saw all the great results he achieved with previous clients and decided I wanted to get my eating on track before I thought about an exercise plan. I also liked that Marcus included client's references with the before and after pictures on his website so I could really get a feel for everything and see that people who were having the exact same struggles as me were able to accomplish great results just by fixing their eating habits and moving every day (pretty easy, really!)
Marcus and I spent 20 weeks developing a sustainable way for me to move more, eat healthier and still feel satiated all the while losing a bunch of unwanted pounds. I realized I was experiencing pretty much constant bloating and lethargy from the foods I was eating before (to the extent that I felt like it was just a normal every day thing) and noticed a BIG improvement in my energy levels and cravings once I cut out a lot of the processed foods and sugars.
As a result of working with Marcus I lost 25.5 pounds, went down almost two jean sizes and overall I feel way more comfortable in my own skin. The weekly emails and picture-sending definitely helped keep me on track (the pictures especially) and I liked that Marcus was easy to talk to and very informative when I had questions about anything.
