Here are 6 super simple tips that’ll add to your body composition, health and sense of well-being!
Add cinnamon to your coffee. You’ll skip a few calories from the sweet stuff like sugar or honey and side step a possible blood sugar spike/dip!
Butter your vegg. Not only will they taste amazing, you’ll absorb all those fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) you’re meant to get from your greens!
Chew your fruit. Chomping down on your fruit for the day will keep you more satiated and bump your fiber intake up! Drinking fruit via a smoothie/juice doesn’t fill ya up as much because we don’t need to chew in order to ingest it. The chewing process itself sends signals to satiation centers in our brain, that’s why chewing gum can make ya feel full. Also juicing separates out the fiber from your beverage, fiber feeds beneficial bacteria in the gut and makes us feel full!
Go unsalted. Salted nuts and nut butters are hyper palatable and are MUCH easier to overeat than unsalted varieties. If they’re unsalted and raw they’re even tougher to over consume so work with your body not against it and don’t be so salty.
Cook with loved ones. Kill two birds with one stone and cook with your partner, family and friends. Not only is food a creative outlet but we can also use it to spend valuable time with family in the process…all the while nourishing our bodies with quality nutrition. Wins all around!
Take the garbage out. Do a clean sweep of your entire house and throw all the highly processed hyper palatable foods out! We are opportunistic eaters, meaning if it’s available we will consume it. Work with your psychology and take the ‘will power’ or ‘discipline’ out of the equation by eliminating the temptation. Seriously…go do it right now. Byyye.
